The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to launch the 2nd phase of the special program to eradicate tuberculosis from the province.
Project director TB Control Programme Dr Maqsood Ali Khan told our Peshawar correspondent that it will commence in September this year at five health facilities in Peshawar.
The program will cost eleven billion rupees.
Seven billion rupees will be provided by a non-government organization and the remaining four billion rupees will be arranged by the provincial government.
He said the provincial government is already providing free treatment to TB patients in all district headquarters hospitals of the province.
